An older oil painting found in my dad's attic. I did it while in college. I am posting it since I don't have anything new at the moment.

nice colors and texture. what was your inspiration for this piece?

Dorota said...

Rich - it's a steel life with a ladder. At that time I was kind of transitioning from realism to abstract so I used real objects but concentrated more on color composition then actual shapes. thank you.

beautiful- as usual, what does the word martwa refer to?

Dorota said...

It means "dead" in exact translation. Thanks April.

If martwa means dead, you've given this painting the wrong name, Dorota.

How do you say inspiring?

One of the best I've seen from you to date.

Wow, thanks Vincee.

Beautiful, Dorota! Glad you're always posting. It's inspiring me to keep doing it as well.

PS: Zoro said you might be coming painting and there was a last minute location change so I wanted to let you know about it. Sorry to do it on your blog but I only have your Disney email address and I didn't want to chance that you missed my email I sent. It's might be between 106 and 115 degrees or more at Vasquez Rocks tomorrow so we thought we'd move our location down either into Malibu Canyon or a nearby beach where it will be between 78 and 86 degrees. Please let anyone else you know that is thinking about going know that the location has been changed. I'm meeting my dad at his home: 28765 Pisces St., Agoura Hills, CA 91301 at 9 am and then we'll head down Las Virgenes road and choose a site to paint. If you want to meet up there or catch up to us later email me as soon as you get this and I'll email you back my cell number so you can contact me. Sorry for the last minute change, but that is just too dang hot!

Hi Garima - I thought it looked familiar, I went to Milan about four years ago and Promod is my favorite shop.
